I cannot say enough good things about John Shim Photography! And I literally cannot say one bad thing about John Shim Photography. I am in love with EVERY SINGLE SHOT from my wedding day! John has such an artist's eye. He did everything he could to make our engagement and wedding pictures 100% what we wanted. We will be using him again!

I was very pleased with John Shim's work. I think he took excellent pictures and definitely has an artistic eye. I was impressed because he took the time to talk to us before our wedding to make sure that he knew what we wanted. He did a great job at both our engagement and our wedding pictures. There were one or two pictures I wish he had gotten at the wedding (ie: the back of my dress walking down the aisle, a family pic or two I didn't think about), but he got almost everything you could think of and took beautiful pictures. He's definitely dedicated since he sat in the middle of our dance floor to get great shots (even though I'm pretty sure I elbowed him twice). Most importantly, his work is good value. I looked for a long time to find a "budget friendly" photographer who is as skilled as John, and they do not exist. His pictures are worth the money!

John Shim Photography exceeded our expectations throughout our engagement and wedding. During our communications and interactions, John maintained the highest degree of professionalism while making the experience very enjoyable and even relaxing! During the shoots, he is great at giving direction or suggestions, but he is also open to trying new things and listening to your vision for the photos. He is excellent at capturing moments that other photographers may let pass unnoticed - a tear, a laugh, or crazy dance moves. The flow of our pictures truly tells the story of our day, and every time I look at them, I relive all those moments. I highly recommend John Shim Photography. John made our wedding day feel very relaxed. He ws professional and helpful with our time line. For all the pre wedding photo shoots he was very flexible. Throughout the whole process he was very organized and easy to work with. Most of all the qality of John's work is untouched in comparison to the other photographers we looked at. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a photographer for any occasion.

John made my wedding day. He made us very comfortable, not awkward, was very professional, took great pictures, and responded quickly to our questions. He was very flexible. He knew how to organize us (me and my husband, as well as our families) and take charge when my family wouldn't stop talking :). He is also very patient and didn't freak out, even when I did. He is used to dealing with brides and has a calming demeanor. As I look back through my album (which I do very often) I remember our wedding day just as I hoped it would turn out. No matter what look or style you're going for with your wedding, John is able to convey is so very well. I highly recommend John.
